Why This Trade Would Benefit The Los Angeles Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers are strong at almost every position on the basketball court. They are clearly the team to be in the NBA coming off an NBA title and improved more throughout the offseason. If they were to improve their perimeter play, they would be even more of a force.
If there is one area where the Lakers are inconsistent, it is on the perimeter. Kyle Kuzma can be a microwave at times but has shown his inconsistencies throughout his career. James is a player who likes to have shooters on the perimeter and athletes to pass the ball out to.
Aaron Gordon would give them an intriguing option off the ball. He is a dynamic player on both ends that would help the Lakers right away this season. Atop the list of benefits is the defensive versatility that Gordon brings to the table and Los Angeles could certainly use that to alleviate pressure from LeBron James.
Los Angeles does not need to make another deal to win a championship. This would just be another move to improve their roster, which they have shown they are not afraid of making prior to the deadline.
