Why This Trade Would Benefit The Golden State Warriors

The Golden State Warriors built one of the great dynasties in the NBA on the backs of their guards. Both Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are all-time shooters who created an elite backcourt that was able to win multiple championships. They did this with little help from their big men.

The Warriors held the No. 2 pick in the NBA Draft and had a chance to trade it if they felt the need. They decided to hold onto the pick and used it on James Wiseman. Early on, Wiseman is averaging 10.6 points and 6.4 rebounds per contest. He is still a rookie with some room to grow but the Warriors could improve the position.

A win-now team will benefit from Myles Turner. Plus, he is on a team-friendly deal. Turner is signed for three years and making $17.5 million annually. This is a great contract for a player of his status.

This would give Steph Curry some help in the lineup. The Warriors would have another weapon offensively for a team to worry about. If the Warriors want to win another championship, this is a move they could make right away.
