Myles Turner
It’s difficult to think of a better player to replace an injured star, than Myles Turner, who is a star of his own. Turner, 24, is one of the best centers in the NBA in terms of his defensive play, but he also has the ability to knock down all the shots you need him to.
Myles Turner is currently averaging 12.2 points per game, six rebounds per game, one assist per game, 1.4 steals per game, and 4.1 blocks per game. Turner stands at six-foot-eleven and has proven to be one of the best defensive players in the entire NBA.
If the Wizards went out and made a blockbuster trade for Myles Turner, they would be instant contenders in the Eastern Conference. The Wizards could likely package Davis Bertans and a draft pick or two to land Turner from the Pacers.
It would certainly have to be a genuinely beneficial trade package to lure Myles Turner from the Indiana Pacers. He is very much the centerpiece of their defensive and losing that impact is something they’ve been reluctant to ponder in trade scenarios.
