Boston Celtics
It came as no surprise when Houston Rockets’ guard James Harden listed the Boston Celtics as one of his preferred teams due to the team’s ability to constantly compete in the Eastern Conference. Harden feels like he could be the piece that sets the Celtics over the edge, and he could be right.
An ideal trade for the Celtics to land Harden could look something like Jaylen Brown and two future first round picks. Brown, a 24-year-old forward, has been the biggest reason for Boston’s success this season and is likely going to be dealt away at some point this season anyways.
Harden would take the top off the Celtics’ offense and provide them with a deadly weapon they haven’t had since Kyrie Irving.
If you team up a potential NBA MVP candidate in Harden and pair him up with Jayson Tatum, Kemba Walker, and Marcus Smart, the sky is truly the limit for this team to hang up yet another banner in Boston. The Celtics need to make a big splash if they want to compete in the Eastern Conference playoffs and adding James Harden could be the final piece to the puzzle.
