Why This Trade Would Benefit The Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic have a decision to make regarding their roster. They could decide to pursue another star in hopes of rising up the standings in the Eastern Conference or send some players away in hopes of retooling the roster.
This is clearly a deal to retool. The Magic have options on the perimeter such as Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier. Markelle Fultz is another intriguing name who is beginning to take the next step.
It might not seem like the best idea to trade Vucevic but if they have decided to rebuild, prospects like Edwards and Langford could help. The Magic would also get draft capital in this deal.
Orlando has been an NBA postseason team but they have not been able to win a postseason round. They will need to re-evaluate over time and see what the best course of action is to improve.
