Why This Trade Would Benefit The Boston Celtics
The Boston Celtics were dominated downlow during the NBA postseason which led to their elimination. Bam Adebayo and the Miami Heat were able to gain an advantage all throughout the series. Coming into the offseason, the Celtics were supposed to improve this position.
A trade such as this one would go a long way. Nikola Vucevic has been the best player in Orlando for years now. He has a knack at scoring from anywhere on the floor. He can use his post moves or be a rim roller in pick-and-roll situations.
Vucevic has a smooth looking jump shot from three-point range as well. He would improve the frontcourt in Boston immediately and fit in well with what they like to do. There would ultimately be a needed balance provided in the Celtics’ half-court offense.
Vucevic would benefit greatly from joining a contender. He isn’t talented enough to lead an elite team as a feature player but playing alongside Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, and Kemba Walker would go a long way. This is a trade that would help both sides right away.
