Why The Trade Would Benefit The Celtics

This trade would work in the Celtics’ favor whether they decide to trade Kemba Walker or not. If they do, Derrick Rose could step in as a veteran option. If they don’t, he would add depth, which is much needed come postseason time.

Danny Ainge likes Romeo Langford and believes he has a high ceiling in the future, but sending him away could land them a player to accomplish their short-term goal. That is to win a championship.

Rose is a former MVP in the league who has shown that he can still score at a high level. He has not been great defensively, but he can add a spark to the teams offense.

Boston can look to improve in many ways in hopes of winning another championship for the franchise. Seeing Rose compete in the postseason and on a contending team would be an incredible story for the end of his career.
