Boston Celtics Receive: Derrick Rose

Detroit Pistons Receive: Romeo Langford, 2021 2nd Round Pick

Rose would be headed to Boston to either help the depth at the point guard position or take over the starting job if Walker is dealt. Either way, this benefits to Celtics in the near future.

The return for Rose will not be huge, but Detroit would be able to land Romeo Langford and a second round pick. This helps their goal of getting younger in the back court while adding draft capital to the mix. Langford could end up becoming a very valuable role player in the future.

Moving on from Rose is a no-brainer for the Pistons. He will likely leave next offseason in free agency anyway. Getting something from the Celtics now would be wise.

Let’s take a closer look and see how this deal would benefit each team for the 2020-2021 season.
