4 burning questions for Chicago Bulls entering 2020-21 NBA season

While they had a lot of successful years from 2010-15 with Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler, the Chicago Bulls were never able to make anything of those NBA seasons and have still been rebuilding ever since Michael Jordan retired in 1998.

To this day, the Bulls are still trying to correct the wrongs they made over two decades ago and while they have a lot of young, promising players on the roster, they need to make sure they do not make the same mistakes they have made over the years.

Much like every other offseason, this offseason for the Bulls was important because they had to solidify who their coach of the future was going to be. After being fired by the Thunder, Billy Donovan and the Chicago Bulls quickly reached an agreement on a long-term deal.

Billy Donovan has been a great coach since joining the NBA in 2015 and has been instrumental in the development of a lot of young players for the Thunder. He has helped turn Jerami Grant, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Steven Adams into great players and intends to do the same with the youth on the Chicago Bulls.

In the last three seasons, the Bulls have failed to reach 30-wins and with a proven head coach and an abundance of young talent, they may be able to finally snap this streak. Coby White, Lauri Markkanen, Wendell Carter Jr., and their leader, Zach LaVine, have shown a ton of promise for the direction this franchise is going and look to finally fix the Bulls’ losing ways.

With questions surrounding the future of some of the Bulls’ young players and not much of an offseason to continue to develop their young core together, it should be interesting to watch this Chicago Bulls team early on in the year. They do not have much time in a 72 game season to poke around and develop a system, which could lead to this team suffering yet another losing season.

Will the Bulls have a winning record at the end of the year? Will the Bulls keep this young core together for years to come? Here are 4 burning questions for the Chicago Bulls entering the 2020-21 NBA season.
