Much like TJ Warren, Jaylen Brown is one of the premier two-way players in the league, and with the emergence of Jayson Tatum for Boston last season, Jaylen Brown could be gearing up to have his best season in his career this year. After averaging 20.3 points, 6.4 rebounds, and shooting 48.1% from the floor last season, Jaylen Brown is not just ready to take the next step in his career but is ready to help win the Celtics a championship.

The Boston Celtics have been on the verge of making it back to the NBA Finals for four straight seasons, making the Eastern Conference Finals three times over the last four years, but cannot seem to get over the hump. This year is trending to be different for the Celtics though as both of their star players in Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown look to be two of the top players in the league in 2020-21.

Not only has Jaylen Brown been getting better and better each year, but entering his fifth year in the league, Brown has established himself as one of the better wing defenders in the NBA. Standing at 6’6” with a 7-foot wingspan, Jaylen Brown can virtually guard any position outside of centers and has taken on the burden of guarding his opponent’s best player year after year in the playoffs.

Now this season, with Gordon Hayward gone and Kemba Walker dealing with some knee issues that could keep him out until February, Jaylen Brown is expected to be one of the two focal points of the Celtics offense next to Jayson Tatum. With all of the attention Tatum will draw from opponents early on in the year, Brown could easily be one of the best players in the league over the course of the first-half of the season, earning him All-Star honors for the year.

While he had been known as an athletic, driving threat on the offensive end of the court through his first few years in the league, Jaylen Brown had turned himself into a reliable perimeter-shooting option, opening up his offensive game even more. All indications point towards Jaylen Brown having a great 2020-21 NBA campaign, leading him to be a borderline All-Star selection this year if he can step up with Kemba Walker being out.
