Why The Trade Benefits The Warriors

Golden State took a big hit when they received the news that Klay Thompson would miss another season with a torn Achilles. With Stephen Curry back on the floor, the Warriors will be elite once again and they can continue to strengthen their lineup with a trade for a veteran player with great postseason experience.

James Wiseman was the clear choice for the Warriors once they decided not to trade the second pick in the draft. With the way Golden State likes to play, Wiggins does not seem like a fit.

Kevin Love is the type of stretch four who can run the floor and knock down a shot from deep, which would fit perfectly alongside Stephen Curry. He is also still one of the top rebounders in the league. Love has spent a lot of time during his career alongside LeBron James and in the postseason. He would be a valuable piece to a Warriors team looking to add more championships.

The Warriors are also acquiring a first-round pick in this deal, which could be high depending on where the Cavaliers finish. This trade seems like a slam dunk for Golden State and should be explored right away if possible.
