Charlotte Hornets

It has been a long time since the Hornets were in a position to be buyers. However, that time has come for the franchise.

Gordon Hayward was the prize offseason addition for the Hornets. They did overpay a bit, giving him a four-year deal with $120 million. LaMelo Ball was also added with the No. 3 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

Should the Hornets find a way to add Victor Oladipo, they would be in a position to compete in the Eastern Conference. Ball, Hayward, Oladipo, and the rest of the roster would be interesting and entertaining to watch.

Convincing Oladipo to stick around long-term would be the only concern. But, the pieces they have in Ball and Hayward would work in their favor. They may not swing for the fences, but if Michael Jordan decides he wants to make a big move, Oladipo could be the target.
