Miami Heat Finish Top 3 Point Shooting Team In NBA

Over the course of the 2020-21 NBA season, Duncan Robinson and Tyler Herro introduced themselves as two of the league’s best catch-and-shoot three-point shooters and were two of the main reasons why the Heat made it to the NBA Finals. Last season, Robinson shot 44.6% from three-point range, ranking 4th in the NBA, and Tyler Herro shot 38.9% from three-point range, ranking him 43rd in the league.

The Miami Heat as a team shot 37.9% from three-point range last year, ranking them second and just 0.1% behind the Utah Jazz for first in the league. Not only are Robinson and Herro back for the Heat this year, but Goran Dragic, Meyers Leonard, Kelly Olynyk and Kendrick Nunn all return to the team after shooting 35% or better from three-point range last season.

They have two of the most lethal shooters in the entire NBA from beyond-the-arc and if there is one thing we know about head coach Erik Spoelstra, it is that he will build his game plans around his team’s strengths, which this year happens to be three-point shooting.

Expect to see the Miami Heat once again be one of the league’s top three-point shooting teams and their potential deep run in the playoffs will once again revolve around their perimeter-oriented offense.
