Fans in Los Angeles are going to be outraged by the inclusion of Caruso in this trade. Caruso is a fan favorite and has become a sensation around the NBA. He is a household name, but his actual talent level does not live up to his hype.

Bringing in a talent like Luguentz Dort would be a big upgrade. He would be able to come in and provide top-notch defense for the Lakers against guys like James Harden and other high-profile scorers. LeBron James and Anthony Davis are true superstars, but an elite defender would help them out.

As for the Thunder, they need more scoring. Dort is not a scorer, but Caruso could fit the bill. With a bigger role, Caruso could end up blossoming into a very good player.
