The Hypothetical Trade

Cavaliers Receive: Russell Westbrook, PJ Tucker

Rockets Receive: Kevin Love, Collin Sexton, Dante Exum

This may not be exactly the kind of return that you would expect to see for a player of Westbrook’s caliber. However, his trade value has dropped immensely over the past year. Not to mention, he has a really tough contract for most teams to take on.

Despite the value not being as high as some would expect, it is still solid. Houston would be getting back a quality young guard, a power forward who is still more than capable of putting up numbers, and another wing piece who could play some minutes if needed.

Again, this may not be enough for the Rockets to pull the trigger. If the Cavaliers really want this trade to get done, they may have to include a pick.
