From a financial standpoint, the Houston Rockets and Washington Wizards wouldn’t experience much change by executing such a deal. Russell Westbrook and John Wall each are signed to almost the exact same contract—making a marginal difference.

The primary difference for the Rockets would be taking on just under $2.2 million for Moritz Wagner. He is set to become a restricted free agent in 2022— making it a favorable situation for Houston financially in the meantime.
