Hassan Whiteside

The Portland Trail Blazers acquired Hassan Whiteside in a three team deal last offseason. He performed well on both ends of the floor for the Blazers and this could lead to a one-year deal for the upcoming season. Whiteside prove that he is still a valuable option down low.

Whiteside averaged 15.5 points and 13.5 rebounds in 30 minutes per night. He shot 62.7% from the field and was the elite defender he once was in Miami. This is another instance where a short offseason might help two sides come to an agreement. The Blazers were the eighth seed in the West during the restart. They lost in five to the Lakers. Whiteside will bring a toughness down low that they need to compete in the West.

It is unknown what the market on Whiteside will be but he already signed his lucrative contract and will not get another. This means the Blazers could get a deal on the big man.
