Chicago Bulls Acquire No. 1 Pick For Zach LaVine
The Chicago Bulls are in complete rebuild mode and that could lead to big trades for players like Zach LaVine and Lauri Markannen. A reunion in Minnesota for LaVine would make Timberwolves’ fans very happy. They did not want to get rid of him in the first place.
Moving up to No. 1 in the 2020 NBA Draft gives the Bulls the flexibility to do whatever they want. If they make a deal for Markannen, then maybe they choose to go with James Wiseman in the draft. If they want that next great franchise guard, then LaMelo Ball or Anthony Edwards will make the most sense.
As for Minnesota, they are trying to please Karl-Anthony Towns and calm things down within the organization. A big three of Towns, LaVine, and D’Angelo Russell would certainly make the Wolves a more intriguing team moving forward.
LaVine was moved in the Jimmy Butler trade back in 2017. This deal did not workout for Minnesota and they could look to bring back LaVine here. He is certainly worth the top pick in the draft given his age and skill set.
