The Los Angeles Lakers brought another championship to town on the backs of LeBron James and Anthony Davis. The franchise successfully built a winner after the big splash trade with the New Orleans Pelicans last year.

Heading into 2020-2021, the Lakers could look to build a dynasty and add another star.

General manager Rob Pelinka has his work cut out for him this offseason. Los Angeles has a number of players that will have options to re-sign or opt out come free agency. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, Avery Bradley, JaVale McGee, and Rajon Rondo will likely opt out of their player options. The Lakers also have players on expiring contracts that they could look to put in a trade.

Draft picks are not valued at the moment in Los Angeles. They are late first-round picks and are not held to the same standard as early picks. The Lakers are about winning championships. They will do that by adding a third head to the big three and moving forward as the top team in the Western Conference.

Heading into the offseason, there are realistic targets both in free agency and in the trade market. Here are four possible options for the Lakers to look at.
