Cleveland Cavaliers
Cleveland is in a somewhat similar position to the Knicks. Yes, the Cavs have many young players they can build around, but at some point they’ll need to acquire a veteran to tie it all together.
Could that be John Wall?
Wall could come in and immediately give the Cavs a core to build around. Kevin Love is still in Cleveland, and a Wall-Love duo would be an interesting place to start.
Cleveland might need to part with Collin Sexton or Darius Garland to meet the Wizards’ asking price, so it’s tough to say which pieces Wall would join in Cleveland. But the Cavs are in the third year of the post-LeBron era, and at some point they need to make a move.
The Cavs have done well to accumulate all of their young talent. But until it turns into wins on the floor and playoff berths, there will be calls for the Cavs to shake things up.
