LaMelo Ball

Can LaMelo Ball pass Anthony Edwards as the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NBA Draft? Or will he fall out of the top three? The Minnesota Timberwolves will have a substantial influence on where Ball may end up depending on their decision to kick the draft off.

Ball is an intriguing prospect because of his size, speed, and flash. He is a shifty guard with the ball in his hands who can wow the audience with his passing ability. Plus, his family has been in the news for years now. LaMelo is viewed as a bigger prospect than Lonzo was coming out. This will come down to what the Timberwolves choose to do.

If a prediction has to be made, it would have Edwards being drafted first overall. The Golden State Warriors will not draft Ball which means he is going to fall to the Charlotte Hornets at No. 3, or out of the top-three altogether.

Do not count out the New York Knicks on moving up to draft Ball if he were to fall out of the top two. It would put them within a reasonable striking distance to pull off a potential trade to be in position to land him.
