5 best options for the Cavaliers with the No. 5 overall pick in 2020 NBA Draft

4. Killian Hayes, Guard, France

If the news of Haliburton flying up draft boards holds true on draft night and he’s off the board at No. 5 in the NBA Draft, perhaps the Cavaliers look to Killian Hayes.

Most mock drafts have him going slightly later than this, but as always once the picks are live, it all depends on how the board shakes out.

For Hayes, perhaps Cleveland could be viewed as his ceiling at No. 5, but if that’s the case, he likely wouldn’t fall past No. 8. Both the Pistons at No. 7 and the Knicks at No. 8 could make sense for him.

Cleveland could be the beneficiary if some of their preferred options come off the board in the top four picks.

Hayes, 19, would have time to grow into a role in Cleveland, but as with Haliburton, his selection may lead to a reshuffling in the backcourt.
