Why the Sacramento Kings Should Do It
It would be tough to move on from De’Aaron Fox when considering how much confidence the Sacramento Kings have displayed in his potential as a player. Especially when considering he has shown a willingness to stay with the organization.
In the past, the Kings have displayed hesitancy to hand out max contracts to star players. However, that likely is what it would take to keep Fox in town when considering the lack of success they’ve experienced during his time with the organization.
If the Kings do not feel as though paying Fox a max contract is the best course of action, executing a trade would capitalize on his value now. Sacramento has yet to get something done in this department, but some action is expected soon.
Moving on from Fox would require an intriguing talent worth trading for. That’s where Kendrick Nunn and Duncan Robinson from the Miami Heat come into play, along with some draft compensation to make it all the more worthwhile.
