NBA Draft Prospect No. 2 — James Wiseman

James Wiseman is the biggest question mark in this draft. He is someone who was expected to go as high as top-two but has since fallen a bit. This is because he played just three games at Memphis before leaving school and dealing with violations according to the NCAA.

There should not be a doubt about his ability. Wiseman is 7’1 and could be a true center in the league. The NBA has turned into a three-point shootout which means offenses begin a lot further out than they used to.

This does not fit into Wiseman’s skillset but he has the potential to be a hybrid big man, especially if he goes to the right team. Wiseman could be a top pick but if a contending team likes what he does, they should make a move up to grab him.

Wiseman is a player who will benefit most from going to a good team with strong coaching. His ceiling is sky-high due to his athletic ability and skills on both ends.
