NBA Draft Prospect No. 5 — Deni Avdija

Deni Avdija is a player who has been climbing up draft boards in recent weeks. The Maccabi Tel Aviv star has gone from a mid-round pick to someone who could potentially land in the top-five come draft day.

Avdija has the ability to play all positions on the floor. He can handle the ball or use his size to play downlow. In the NBA, he will best fit as a small forward or power forward.

At 6’9, Avdija is not the best shooter but he is physically ready to compete in the league. His three-point shooting will improve with the team that lands him. He has quickly turned into an interesting prospect and this means a team could make a deal to trade up if they want.

There are plenty of teams in need of a playmaker and second or third option. Avdija fits both those bills in the league. He will be a must watch player throughout his rookie season.
