This trade would send Karl-Anthony Towns to the Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have been linked to big men a lot over the last year or so. Karl-Anthony Towns is one and talks began to heat up right before the start of 2020. Is this something that could get done moving forward?

The Timberwolves added D’Angelo Russell, who is a close friend of Towns. That was a move to improve the team, but to also keep Towns happy. It is unknown if that was enough.

Towns has been unhappy in Minnesota after signing a five-year, $158 million contract extension. This has been a slow moving process, but one to keep an eye on nonetheless.

Sending Towns to the Warriors would solidify the notion that they are title contenders next season. With Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson returning, the Warriors will already be one of the top teams in the West. Adding an elite big man like Towns would make them that much better.

If these two teams decide to begin talks, this is a deal that could work for both sides.
