Derrick Rose will be a common trade target this offseason, and a case could be made for many teams to try to acquire him.

The Clippers should be among those teams, as Rose’s salary is not exorbitant and his performance in Detroit shows the value he’d bring as a 32-year-old veteran.

Rose is obviously not the same player he once was in Chicago, but the Clippers wouldn’t need him to be. Los Angeles has Leonard and George that they have to look toward when the need a key bucket or a stop.

But Rose could come in and serve as a key veteran in a group that needs to block out external noise and just focus on finding ways to win.
