2. Montrezl Harrell
Signing Montrezl Harrell may be a tough task from the financial aspect. Nevertheless, it is a possibility because of the trend of small ball lineups.
During the 2019-20 season, the Lakers used Dwight Howard and Javale McGee in the frontcourt along with Davis.
Both centers proved that they still belong in the NBA and that they can contribute to the league. The only issue is that the league is moving away from the traditional big man.
Adding Harrell would allow LA to play small ball without giving up its energy and dominance on the board.
Acquiring Harrell in free agency is possible because of the relationship between LBJ and Harrell.
During this season, Harrell averaged 18.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 1.7 assists. The selling point for Harrell to sign is that he could be the starting center for the Lakers.
After this season, Harrell is an unrestricted free agent.
