Simmons has been rumored to be a potential trade candidate this offseason. Elton Brand has said that he plans to keep Simmons and Joel Embiid together moving forward for the 76ers. However, that could change if the Pelicans came in with an aggressive trade offer.
For the Pelicans, they are tired of being stuck in mediocrity. They have a great, young roster, but they need another star to pair with Williamson. Simmons could very well be that guy.
