Why the Bulls Should Do It
DeMar DeRozan would bring a veteran presence to an otherwise young Bulls squad in Donovan’s first season in the Windy City.
For the first time in his career, DeRozan was mainly used as a forward last season instead of a shooting guard. The Bulls can find DeRozan’s best fit within their scheme, and he’d have a fresh start outside of San Antonio.
When Donovan joined the Bulls after leaving the Thunder due to Oklahoma City’s impending rebuild, it sent a signal that the Bulls themselves will not stand for a lengthy rebuild.
Donovan could easily count on DeRozan for 30-plus minutes per game. The four-time All Star would form a formidable lineup with the likes of LaVine, Kris Dunn, and Lauri Markkanen as the Bulls aim to compete in the East.
