The Nuggets would be far from just limited to pursuing a trade for Kevin Love if Paul Millsap were to depart in free agency. Another star power forward that could be available for Denver to pursue would include Blake Griffin from the Detroit Pistons.

While Griffin isn’t a mobile defender, he provides plenty of intriguing benefits on offense. He can get the job done as a feature scorer in the post and isolation while being a legitimate threat in spot-up and pick-and-pop.

An underappreciated element of Griffin’s skill-set is his ability to run pick-and-rolls at his size. With a versatile center in Nikola Jokic as the screener, there would be no shortage of intriguing possibilities for Denver offensively that would pose a threat to any defense.

Coming off a season-ending injury, there is concern about durability when it comes to Griffin. He also has limitations on the defensive end that should not be overlooked. Plus, his contract is set to earn him $36.6 million next season with a $39 million player option the following year.
