Signing Wade would help a young Bucks team that has struggled to close out games in the fourth quarter. Milwaukee’s roster has continued to deepen over the last few years with the additions of Malcolm Brogdon, Matthew Dellavedova, and Eric Bledsoe.
This summer the team signed Brook Lopez, Ersan Ilyasova and drafted Donte DiVincenzo out of Villanova. Signing Wade adds another veteran voice to the locker room. The 15-year veteran can help mentor Brogdon, Kris Middleton and Tony Snell who alternate at the two guard position. Most importantly, Wade could show Giannis Antetokounmpo the ropes of being a franchise player.
An Achilles heel for the Bucks has been their management who struggles to attract big named free agents. To no one’s surprise, Antetokounmpo finished the season leading the team in points and rebounds per game.
One final aspect that Wade could help the Bucks with is their execution down the stretch in playoff games. Despite the fact that D-Wade is in the latter of his career he is still a player you can rely on in the clutch. The 2006 Finals MVP will help bring a winning culture into the locker room.
