Fit in with the Team Chemistry the Pacers Have

Finally, the Pacers built a winning chemistry last season with togetherness. If Evans buys into that philosophy, he will be a good fit for the team both this season and for years after if the two sides like the fit in 2018-19.

Winning is a big reason that Evans signed with the Pacers. He liked the contract Indiana offered and the role that he will be playing, but the Pacers can offer him a chance to win in an open Eastern Conference. In an interview after signing with the Pacers, Evans made it clear that he is excited for his new role with Indiana and that he wants to win.

“The whole team looked like they wanted to win, watching those playoff games, battling Cleveland that last game they should have won, the fight they put in. I like to win. Good game, bad game, if we’re winning and everybody’s on the same page, that’s all I care about.”

Those words were music to the ears of Pacers’ fans everywhere. It is exactly that kind of attitude that the Pacers want in players they bring in. Evans seems ready to be a part of the excitement that made the city of Indianapolis become a basketball city once again.

Evans may just find himself interested in remaining with the Pacers in a togetherness atmosphere for more than just one season.
