Atlanta Hawks superstar Trae Young remains sidelined with a concussion following an incident in the fourth quarter of their recent 116-95 defeat to the Cleveland Cavaliers during Saturday’s NBA action.

With 8:43 remaining in regulation of the Hawks’ blowout loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers, Young was forced to exit after colliding with Isaac Okoro. He spent moments on the court before heading to the locker room and did not rejoin the game.

Young’s timeline for returning to the court is currently uncertain. He has already been ruled out for Monday’s matchups against the Sacramento Kings. Before returning to competition, he must complete the NBA’s concussion protocol, including being free of any symptoms.

This incident comes after Young missed the Hawks’ previous game against the Miami Heat due to illness. He has remained a critical player for Atlanta this season, averaging 26.9 points and leading as the second-highest in the league with an average of 10.8 assists per game.

Dejounte Murray will step into a more prominent role for the Hawks while Young remains sidelined, for however long that may be. Atlanta’s schedule later this week features matchups against the Golden State Warriors (Wednesday), Dallas Mavericks (Friday), and Toronto Raptors (Sunday).
