Well, the Bulls have Caruso. His market is expected to be robust. If the Bulls put Caruso on the market, they should expect a haul in return.

Although, that may be a big “if”. It’s also been reported that Chicago is apprehensive to even make Caruso available.
Still, one has to assume that there’s a price that would convince the Bulls to part with their defensive guard. Is this the price?
Why The Chicago Bulls Do The Deal
Frankly, the Bulls should be aggressively shopping Caruso. He’s 29. The Bulls are about to rebuild. This is no place for one of the best role players in the NBA in the thick of his prime.
The Bulls should do Caruso a favor and set him free. If this front office comes to see that logic, this would be a fair return. The Bulls are getting an unprotected first-round pick here.
They’re also landing a distant swap. Sure, it feels likely that the Celtics will still be better than the Bulls in 2027, but we wouldn’t guarantee it.

Things can change quickly in this league – the Bulls can turn it around in a few years. Adding Pritchard could help him accomplish that goal. He’s a much younger guard who provides elite floor spacing.

Without question – if Caruso is available. Losing Pritchard cannot hold the Celtics back. Caruso isn’t strictly a quality defender. He may be the best defensive guard in the NBA.
Meanwhile, he spaces the floor in his own right. Caruso isn’t a high-usage offensive superstar. Luckily, Boston doesn’t need him to be.
This team has one of the most talented rosters in the NBA. As long as Caruso hits open looks, he’ll be able to do what they need him to do on offense.
Still, they’re acquiring him for his defense. If he’s not the best guard in the NBA, Jrue Holiday is – and the Celtics have him, too.
