Even though the San Antonio Spurs lost to the Denver Nuggets, their NBA star rookie Victor Wembanyama had a historic performance.

While the San Antonio Spurs are having a tough season record-wise, their rebuild looks promising with the emergence of Victor Wembanyama. Wembanyama is having a strong rookie season so far, averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 2.6 blocks per game.

In a recent game against the Nuggets, Wembanyama had a historic performance with six steals and four blocks. After the game, Wembanyama spoke about his strong defensive performance.

As one of the greatest coaches of all time, Gregg Popovich has coached some great players throughout his career. Furthermore, he had some high praise for the play of his superstar rookie,

“He’s playing aggressively. He’s affecting the game in a lot of different ways,” Gregg Popovich said. “He’s blocking shots. He’s scoring. He’s a willing assist man. He’s very unselfish. He doesn’t worry about making a mistake.”
