One NBA writer is proposing that the Toronto Raptors acquire Nikola Vucevic from the Chicago Bulls and Rui Hachimura from the Los Angeles Lakers.
Fran Leiva of Fadeaway World proposed the following trade idea between the Lakers, Bulls, Raptors and San Antonio Spurs:
Los Angeles Lakers receive: DeMar DeRozan, Pascal Siakam
Chicago Bulls receive: Austin Reaves, D’Angelo Russell, Gabe Vincent, Jalen Hood-Schifino, Jakob Poeltl, 2024 first-round pick (via Raptors)
Toronto Raptors receive: Nikola Vucevic, Rui Hachimura, Malaki Branham, Blake Wesley, Siddy Cissoko
San Antonio Spurs receive: Coby White, Max Christie, 2025 first-round pick (via Lakers), 2028 second-round pick (via Bulls)
Vucevic and Hachimura signed new NBA contracts this past offseason. Vucevic can’t be traded until December 28, while Hachimura can’t be moved until January 15.

Vucevic is averaging 16.9 points, 10.3 rebounds and 2.9 assists this season while shooting 46.4% from the field, 24.5% from beyond the arc and 82.1% from the free-throw line.
Meanwhile, Hachimura is averaging 12.0 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.0 assists while shooting 55.7% from the floor, 42.9% from 3 and 76.9% from the foul line.
The Raptors could start Dennis Schroder, Hachimura, OG Anunoby, Scottie Barnes and Vucevic if this trade proposal by Leiva happened. Schroder and Hachimura were teammates on the Lakers last season, so they already know how to play together.
Vucevic has career averages of 17.0 points, 10.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists with the Orlando Magic and Bulls. He’s not a fan of Bulls head coach Billy Donovan’s offense, sources told NBA Analysis Network, so he could be open to leaving Chicago.

Meanwhile, Hachimura has career averages of 12.5 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists with the Washington Wizards and Lakers.
