One NBA writer is proposing that the Chicago Bulls acquire Grayson Allen from the Milwaukee Bucks in a bold proposal. Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report proposed the following trade idea between the Bulls and Bucks:

Trade idea: Milwaukee Bucks trade Grayson Allen, MarJon Beauchamp and 2029 first-round pick (top-five protected) to Chicago Bulls for Alex Caruso

Allen appeared in 72 games for the Bucks last season. He averaged 10.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists while shooting 44.0% from the field, 39.9% from beyond the arc and 90.5% from the free-throw line.

Allen has career NBA averages of 9.7 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists with the Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies and Bucks.

The Bucks lost to the Miami Heat in the first round of the 2023 NBA playoffs in five games. Allen averaged 11.6 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in the Bucks-Heat series while shooting 46.3% overall, 48.3% from 3 and 85.7% from the foul line.

NBA NEWS & TRADE RUMORS: Grayson Allen, Milwaukee Bucks, Chicago Bulls Updates

The Bulls didn’t make the playoffs in 2023. They lost the 8-9 play-in game to the Heat after winning the 9-10 play-in game versus the Toronto Raptors. Chicago made the playoffs in 2022 for the first time since 2017, losing to Milwaukee in the first round in five games.

The Bulls could start Jevon Carter, Allen, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Nikola Vucevic if Chicago’s front office decided to acquire Allen from Milwaukee. Allen gets booed whenever he plays in Chicago since he fouled Caruso hard during the 2021-22 season. Caruso fractured his right wrist after Allen hooked his right arm, turning Caruso in the air and sending him hard to the floor on his right wrist.

It would be pretty strange to see the Bulls trade Caruso for Allen, but you can never rule out anything in today’s NBA.
