It is not uncommon for enemies to share mutual respect with each other. In any other case, they wouldn’t be enemies at all. This certainly applies in the NBA.

There is a possibility that they may not like each other. Despite this, they both know that the other is a threat to them. As a matter of fact, that was the underlying cause of their feud in the first place. 

That may be the case between GIannis Antetokoumnpo of the Milwaukee Bucks and James Harden of the Philadelphia 76ers.These two have had a lot of bad blood in the past.

Each has brought the other’s ability to play basketball into question. Do they hate each other? We don’t know. Do they respect each other? We’re willing to bet they do.

These are two of the defining players of their generation. Things tend to change when an opportunity arises for talent to join forces with the goal of winning a title.
