Why The Atlanta Hawks Do The Deal 

Apparently, the Hawks are aware that they need to make some changes in their team. They just moved John Collins, and they’re rumored to be active on the trade market this summer. 

As a matter of fact, Murray is seen as one of the trade candidates up for grabs. That makes a lot of sense. His fit alongside Trae Young proved problematic in 2022-23. 

It is important to emphasize that this deal represents a way to correct a course of action. With the acquisition of Murray, the Hawks are making up for some of the draft capital they lost while acquiring him.

It’s important to note, however, that that’s not all they’re replacing with the new ones.

In addition, Collins will also be replaced by them. It is possible that Williams would be a better fit, as well. As long as Trae Young dominates the offensive side of the ball, he will be content to spot up for threes.
