The Oklahoma City Thunder are sitting pretty. This team is in an excellent position this NBA offseason. In 2022-23, they looked like a team on the rise.

It was a surprising season for the Thunder as they competed well. It could be argued that the plan didn’t even include that. 

As a matter of fact, the Thunder were supposed to be a participant in the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes. It turned out that they weren’t.

Instead, the Thunder walked away with the 12th overall pick in the NBA draft. There is no problem with that.

In the upcoming season, the Thunder will welcome Chet Holmgren to their roster. It might be ideal for them to pair Holmgren with a bruising big man in order to complement his relatively slim frame.
