Sometimes, the NBA rumor mill can churn a little too hard.

For example, it was recently reported that the Suns had waived Chris Paul. It wasn’t true. Somebody let their imagination run a little too far with that one.

Instead, they ended up trading him to the Washington Wizards. Paul was a casualty of the blockbuster deal that send Bradley Beal to the Suns. Somehow, we don’t expect that the Wizards will keep him.

After all, they’ll be undergoing a lengthy rebuilding process. The Wizards won’t get a massive haul for Paul, but a pair of second-round picks is helpful.
