At this moment, the Portland Trail Blazers have an unusual amount of control over the NBA. 

They’ve got the third overall pick in the NBA draft. That alone puts them in an advantageous position.  With that said, they’re widely expected to move the pick. 

They will have suitors. If the Charlotte Hornets select Brandon Miller, that holds especially true. Teams will be lined up around the corner for the chance to select Scoot Henderson. 

The Blazers don’t need him. This team already has an in-prime Damian Lillard.

In fact, that’s exactly why they’re expected to trade their pick. The Blazers want to stay competitive.
