Why The Charlotte Hornets Do The Deal 

We prefaced this piece by talking about the Hornets’ draft options. This might be a good decision either way. 

Suppose the Hornets draft Miller. As good as Rozier is, this team will still be light on 3-and-D wings. They may be losing P.J. Washington in free agency as well. Here, they’re landing two. 

Alternatively, if they select Henderson, this becomes imperative. There will be no reason for the Hornets to keep Rozier. This team will need to diversify its assets. 

Finally, adding the 21st pick in the draft means something here too. This is a rebuilding team. The Hornets should be thankful for the opportunity to add another rookie.
