Of course it does. The Knicks are getting the best player in this deal. 

Brogdon is the league’s reigning Sixth Man of the Year. Don’t mistake that for meaning that this is a career reserve. In fact, Brogdon could start for plenty of teams around the league. 

He might start for the Knicks. Brogdon’s positional size would allow them to bump RJ Barrett up to the 3. On the other hand, acquiring Brogdon would give the Knicks plenty of options. 

Having him pilot the second unit is one of them. Either way, this is a tremendous upgrade to the Knicks’ rotation.
