Why The Orlando Magic Do The Deal

It feels like Orlando has been waiting for Isaac to return forever. They may be tired of waiting.

At this point, his health status is even a distraction. Meanwhile, the Magic have moved on. Where Isaac was once a potential franchise cornerstone, the Magic now have Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner as their forwards of the future.

With that in mind, it may be time to move Isaac. If so, bringing Paul in makes sense. Sure, he could be a valuable mentor for this otherwise young Orlando roster.

At the same time, he could also be a contributor. Paul may be well outside of his prime, but he can still space the floor and organize an offense.
