This was a roller coaster of a 2022-23 NBA season for the Los Angeles Lakers. Was it a successful one?
It’s hard to say. On the one hand, at the beginning of the season, a Western Conference Finals trip felt like an impossibility. From that perspective, this was an excellent season.
On the other hand, this team rosters LeBron James. Their standard is automatically higher. From that perspective, the Lakers should have done better.
Oh well. There’s always next year. On the other hand, James’ years are numbered.
With that in mind, the Lakers should pounce on a win-now trade while he’s still an impactful player.
