He’ll find a way to make it work with Young. In fact, he may have to do so. Again – James is aging, and he’s likely to accept a smaller role in 2023-24.

Meanwhile, the Lakers replace some of Davis’ impact with Clint Capela.

He’s far from the same player on offense, and he’s not even as sound defensively, but he still allows the Lakers to maintain some rim protection.
