The NBA season is a long, winding road. It’s hard to believe it, but we’re almost at the end of this one.
Only four remaining teams have a chance to win the NBA championship. It just so happens that two of those teams are the most iconic franchises in the history of the sport.
A Los Angeles Lakers / Boston Celtics NBA Finals would be a ratings bonanza for the league. Let’s be completely realistic. Somewhere, at least one NBA executive is praying for that outcome.
At the same time, the Denver Nuggets and the Miami Heat are both formidable. They could easily meet in the Finals as well. In any event, neither the Lakers nor Celtics are assured of anything.
If either comes up short, they could end up making a trade this summer.
Could they make one with each other?
