Why The Phoenix Suns Do The Deal 

This isn’t complicated for the Suns. Harden is a tremendous upgrade over Chris Paul. 

That wasn’t always exactly the case. When the two were teammates in Houston, Harden did carry the lion’s share of the offense.

Still, Paul was practically as valuable as an elite secondary playmaker and elite two-way player.

Unfortunately, his time is up. Paul is old. By now, he can’t create the type of advantages that he needs to in order to leverage his floor vision. 

Harden still can. Granted, he’s lost a half-step himself. Still, this is a player who can produce like a star. Harden’s passing chops will be a massive benefit to this team as they make a title push next year. 

Should the Sixers help them make it?
